Sanskrit is an ancient language of India. The Vedas, the Upaniṣads, the Rāmāyaṇa, the Mahābhārata, the Bhagavad Gītā and countless works of poetry, mathematics, medicine and philosophy were written in it. It is still read, written and spoken today.
